A consulting engineer who graduated with distinction from the Saint Petersburg Mining Academy, M. Purev-Ochir is a veteran specialist with over 45 years of continuous experience in the mining sector. He served as Director for Geology and Mining at major companies such as Shivee Ovoo and Live Energy and has led beneficiation studies for dozens of Mongolian mineral deposits — gold, copper, molybdenum, iron, coal and wolframite among them — supervising more than 20 research projects. He is Chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Mongolian Mineral Processors' Association and today contributes to training young engineers and setting the sector's professional standards.
