Dr. Munkhbaatar, who obtained his doctorate at Moscow State University, is a respected scientist in chemical technology. He served for many years as Director of the School of Materials Technology at MUST (2001–2014), playing a central role in training the sector's professionals. He successfully led the copper–molybdenum separation feasibility research for the Erdenet mining complex and international joint projects with universities in Japan, Germany, the USA and Taiwan. His 19 books and textbooks and more than 105 research publications serve today as key references in chemical engineering; he has supervised 2 doctoral and 12 master's candidates.
